Supposedly this is a night make-up experiment done by my roomie. I looked like the evil stepmother. Hahahaha. I thought I looked smashing last night. Now I look like an eyebag with a face. But I still liked it. You've got to love and work what you have, right?
I have a weird relationship with make-up. I say weird because I love dressing up, and I'm aware how hair and make-up is needed to seal the deal. Supposedly they go together. I just like clothes and for the longest time, I just couldn't bring myself to experiment and care about make-up. I was stuck with excuses: I don't know how to use it. I wasn't really that interested in using it. We're not really friends. At all. Usually I'm fine just with chapsticks and... oh just chapsticks. I challenged my roomie to do an eye make-up for my big swollen eyes. Unlike pretty, normal eyes, my eyes have lots and lots of weird folds, probably because they're bigger and more out there compared to others. That's one of the reasons I don't like putting make-up on. It just doesn't look right when I try it. I wish I had just one-fold so it's easier to layer and highlight. But that's before I experienced the magic of eye liner. My roomie applied really thick and bold liquid eye liner on the edge of my lids. Wow, it makes them pop and more defined. (Not that it needs to be defined noh?) I fell in love with it. She then brushed my face with some bronzer. We were laughing so hard because it looked like a cheap tan. However, the more I looked at it, the more it grew on me. And then came the coral lipstick. Don't even get me started with lipstick. Again, I was hesitant at first but as they say, coral-hued lipsticks look good on brown skin tone. I was hooked. Before I knew it, I was busy curling my own hair and even dressing the part. I might as well have walked the runway. This all happened between 4am and 6am.
I don't possess a natural beauty like Kristine Hermosa. Maybe it's time to highlight the goods and hide the flaws. I'm starting to like this make-up shit.
(A special thank you to my lovely roomie! Wink)
