1. This is Gwyneth Paltrow's website GOOP. I'm embarrassed to admit how I became (a bit) obsessed with GP. Let's just say it all started with astrology. Her website is vanilla, yes, but very informative, honest, and style savvy. I didn't notice the time as I was endlessly browsing through her entries or "newsletters", as she likes to call them. I don't understand all the hate for this woman. She is a real class act. Here's what Jake Gyllenhaal has to say about her:
“Bottom line, she is not a mere mortal like the rest of us. She is an Internet-savvy, award-winning, lifestyle guru, making all of us look lazy. She doesn’t just find a nice guy to settle down with—she marries a rock star and then domesticates him. She doesn’t just cook—she goes to Spain with Mario Batali and then domesticates him! She is not just a lifestyle guru, but she invents a whole new fitness movement and then convinces me to try it, and I do it, and I am, therefore, domesticated ... sweating my ass off in spandex, which is humbling and embarrassing.”
2. Watching Michael Moore's documentaries is cathartic. I love this guy. Everyone should watch his work. I'm done watching two: Capitalism A Love Story and Sicko. More to come. It makes you think about the bigger picture, and I always ask myself everytime I watch something political on what I, personally, can do about it. I end up hating myself, but at the same time this is my only way to not be apathetic because I have been for quite some time now. I've been binging on documentaries: Food Inc., Food Matters, The Corporation, Super Size Me and more downloads to go. I want to watch Jiro Dreams of Sushi, Food Fight and Steal A Pencil For Me. Food-related shows and documentaries are relaxing for me.
3. Manny won again. I was lucky enough to watch a live telecast (thanks to a friend) of Pacquiao and Mosley's fight earlier today. As always, I was scared that Manny may fail this time. I feel bad for Shane Mosley but maybe he just really wanted to fight Manny and see what he's missing. It looked like he wasn't in it to win it. Overall, the fight was lackluster. I applaud Manny for trying so hard to make a show for everyone. It just didn't come to fruition. The last few rounds were an utter disaster: Manny aggressively trying to close the fight with a KO and Shane always trying to hug it out. Poor thing. But I'll take Shane Mosley over Gayweather at any given day. However, I'll watch Pacquiao and Gayweather's fight in the big screen if it will ever happen.

4. When I woke up this morning, the weather was perfect. Chilly. I rediscovered Neil Diamond's songs, and it swept me right back to my childhood. I'm excited to go home and see my father. Without knowing it, I have really acquired my father's choices in music, the likes of Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, Brothers Four, The Everly Brothers, Harry Belafonte, and Neil Diamond. On a side note, I have found a new-found appreciation for Karen Carpenter's voice. She had this crisp, bass voice that is so unique I can't remember hearing a voice like hers ever. My favorite is Only Yesterday.
5. I'm excited for our trip this week. I'm dying to get out of Manila's heat, and maybe experience somekinda Northern heat. Pagudpud come to mama! (photo)This is a really random post. I'm off to work in a few minutes. Happy Sunday evening! xD
