so what's up?

Long time no blog! What have I been up to these days? Not much. I'm just eating a lot of bananas.

After spending a significant amount of time toasting myself at the beach (or shall I say bitchesss), I'm home, in the province, with my father. Actually, it's been a more than a month since I've been home. I'm hoping I'm fatter nowadays, and fairer. Please let me be fairer. I'm done being a "travel agent" for the summer month. Lately, it's been work, work, facebook, work, and Travel Channel. That's it. If I'm not busy working, I'm researching about the entire history of the Boston Celtics and googling words like "how to be an internet sensation." And lately, I'm baffled about my sudden interest in black men. For once, I'd like to say the words "once you go black you never go back." They are hot hot hot. I'll save this for another post.

Today, I'm taking a day off. I just bought a Kindle version of Gail Simmon's Talking With My Mouth Full. I can't wait to read books for pleasure again. This time I really want to read non-fiction books on food. I have fallen in love with Anthony Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential and Ruth Reichl's Garlic and Sapphires. I want more! I want to own a copy of MFK Fisher's The Art of Eating, Ruth Reichl's Tender at the Bone, Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird, and Molly Wizenberg's A Homemade Life. If only Amazon ships books to the Philippines.

Anyway, that's it for now. I haven't psyched myself up to write something coherent. I just want to curl-up in bed and read. Goodnight, blogosphere!

P.S. I've read this great article written by Sam Anderson entitled In Defense of Distraction. It's an extremely long article, but if you're like me who works from home and is online most of the time, you'll love his insights on why we are so unfocused and distracted nowadays. Funny and brilliant! (blurb?) KThanksBye!
