Some random updates on a Saturday morning.
- I'm finally enrolled this sem. Yey! I want to thank Mark for the support and company. We're in this together baby. The hard work hasn't even begun yet but I'm excited for the library days ahead. I want to incur all the good vibes in the world to keep me going. No more hardcore complaints/whines/or-what-nots. I'm ready to PUSH.
- We have finally settled into our new place. So far so hot. I'm dripping sweat, sweat, and more sweat. Except for the heat and the barking dogs, everything seems great so far. I'm thinking of throwing a housewarming party; however, the guests would have to give us a refrigerator as a gift. hahaha
- Last night, I went out with Marvz and met Stan. I had no idea Banchetto was already moved to a new area, Mega Tent. It was so crowded last night. Sa sobrang daming tao, pwede ka ng manghipo any moment. I enjoyed the good looking guys scattered around the area more than the food.
- When I was in UP last week, I couldn't help but realize it's been 8 years since I've graced the university. No more familiar faces, but somehow I was able to feel the student vibe again. I enjoyed riding the jeepneys, gazing at the greenery in the campus, and drinking fruit shakes in SC. I've made up my mind to enjoy this last sheebang.
- I missed my professors. Hahaha I suddenly realized ang OA nung sinabi ko. I was reading this two nights ago, and I was reminded by the sheer brilliance of my professors. Most of them were weird at times, but definitely interesting, intelligent, and inspiring people. I will never forget my favorite professors: Carlos Aureus, Duke Bagulaya, and Odine de Guzman. I missed Ma'am Odine's antics and her feminist ideals, Bagu was my UP culture shock, and Sir Aureus, at one point, changed my life. Good professors inspire you to learn not just study.
- On tea and banana. I'm still working on the cigarette part, but I've acquired some counter measures to keep me healthy (at the very least). Medyo oxymoronic yung approach pero gow lang basta ang goal hindi masyadong magmukhang matanda si ma'am. Lots of water, meditate, vitamins, tea, and at least two meals a day.
- I'm addicted to Anna Oposa's blog. She's laugh out loud funny and she's one hell of an inspiration. If she decides to collate her entries into a non-fiction book, I'd definitely buy it. Go read her blog.
Ot, I read somewhere...and I think its effective. If you wanna quit smoking, dala dala ka ng nuts when you're out drinking. Murag naay dulaan imu kamot ug mouth daw substitute sa yosi.
