Gotye's Somebody That I Used To Know. I've been listening to this song over and over again. It's not the most positive song I've heard but it speaks something really special to me. The melody sends shivers down my spine. And the lyrics remind me of bittersweet memories. I saw this comment on YouTube's, and it just struck a chord in me. I wish I was talented and articulate enough, I would have said something along these lines.
"Tiptoes, shows feet first, the nakedness and vulnerability of human love. When I heard it on the radio I was surprised there was another point of view - first he was a victim, then actually it was her - but different points of view no less. Very Peter Gabrielesque... love the art of their 'relationship' with the patchwork of memories and emotions.. and at the end she is free but he is not.. it makes me want to love better and hold people close.. there is always someone that we used to know..."
