i went on a trip to boracay last november 13. this was one of those too-good-to-be-true moments. a good friend asked me to come to this trip about two weeks before the said date. the conversation went something like this:
me: ui mamasoy
M: uban ka sa bora? libre sya
me: what? omg! sureness. kanus-a mani? nagresign na raba ko sa work
M: november 13 to 15
me: shet last day of work nako sa november 12. grabe ka sakto
M: wa nay back out ha. sure na ni.
me: pila man ako iprepare na kwarta?
M: ikaw bahala. basta all expense paid ni.
i took it as a sign from god that somehow he knew how much i needed this break. however, before i managed to get away from the craziness that is my life right now, the next two weeks after that call (before the vacation) was a short course to hell. not only did i experienced sleepless days, but dirty ones too as i managed to go from one task to the next without taking baths. yes, baths! it sounds disgusting, and let me tell you it really was. i went to work with oily hair, and the next day i was busy working on my AWOL and Residency issues in UP. part of this whole "change" phase i'm trying to achieve is getting my lazy ass to school again to finally finish my degree. but because did not have a graceful exit from the university almost two years ago, i had to go through the daunting task of readmission. it was a punishment like no other.
but the good news is i managed to survive through it all. i thought there was no other better vacation than bora, but when the morning of november 13th came, i was ready to trade it all just for a day of sleep. no kidding. but of course, i forced myself to board that plane and take my much needed vacation. it was sweet.
we stayed at the regency hotel. it was better than best. i could sleep in their bathroom. i would eat there and take it home too. it was that good. the white bed, the tub, the terrace overlooking the blue pool, everything just spelled luxury. and it gets better as the food was overflowing. our stay entitled us to a buffet service for breakfast, lunch and dinner. the desserts (and i mean a lot) were my favorite. i have never felt so refreshed sitting on a wicker chair, overlooking the beach, while sipping a tall glass of four-seasons. ahhh...
thank you again mamasoy!
i'm happy for you aking!
